Hide Your Imperfections With A Body Concealer
By pepperlynn76
Body concealer is great for using on areas that you want to hide from the naked eye such as scars, birthmarks, freckles, moles and acne. Usually people want to conceal something they are embarrassed about like pigmentation or it could be a tattoo that you don't want to be visible for a special event such as a job interview or an occasion in which you need to wear a barely there formal gown such as a wedding.
Any type of mark on the face is usually the first thing people want to conceal. If you are familar with Gene Simmons and his show Gene Simmons: Family Jewels then you can't help but notice the on and off again relationship between Sophie and her beauty mark on her face. Some days its out there for all to see and sometimes she covers it up with makeup.
Although Sophie uses a concealer that was designed specifically for the face, there are plenty of great body concealers on teh market that are best to be used from the neck down.
Dermablend is an extremely popular concealer that beautifully covers anything from stretchmarks, burns, sores, cuts, pimples to veins on the legs and body. Dermablend has also been used to efficiently cover up tattoos! Actually after seeing how well it can cover up tattoos, it really have me convinced how wonderful this product is.
Some other uses for Dermablend is to cover up pigmentation, rosacea and post-surgical scars.
You just apply dermablend on the skin area you wish to conceal and smooth the product into the skin by using stroking motions rather than a buffing motion. Then you let the concealer dry completely for about 5-10 minutes and then you follow up with a setting powder. The setting powder is white and is truly translucent. It's best to use the setting powder with a brush but you can use the "puff" that is included with the setting powder. Again you use a stroking motion when applying the powder and you use very light strokes.
Dermablend is not very costly, it runs about $20.00 for the concealer and another $21.00 for the setting powder.
