Gynecomastia Liposuction: Specialized Liposuction Surgery For Men

By

If there’s one thing no man wants to suffer, it’s definitely gynecomastia.  Whereas having large breasts can be quite the career booster for some women, this can be a serious source of shame for men.  Disparagingly called “man boobs”, no wonder a lot of men who suffer from Gynecomastia choose to suffer in silence and find various ways to camouflage their affliction.

But what exactly is gynecomastia?  This is an ailment wherein abnormally large mammary glands grow on human males.  In itself, this disease isn’t necessarily harmful.  It is a constant source of humiliation, however, which can have a serious effect on the patient’s emotional health.  It’s a major dent on confidence, for certain, and often affects the behavior of the patient.

Despite it not being a serious health risk, it is still a problematic affliction because of its emotional effects.  As such, finding a way to remedy this problem is crucial.  The problem, however, is that reversing gynecomastia isn’t as easy as it seems.  No amount of dieting or exercise can get rid of its effects.  Not even medicine can be helpful for serious gynecomastia.

The only way to get rid of the excesses of gynecomastia is liposuction.  Male Breast Reduction Surgery or Gynecomastia Liposuction excises the excess of female-like breast tissue, thus rendering the patient’s chest normal and manly.

Conducting gynecomastia liposuction, however, isn’t as simple as it sounds.

Since gynecomastia is glandular in nature and liposuction is concentrated primarily on fat, gynecomastia liposuction isn’t the only solution to completely fix the problem.  Glands can be found between fats, and when liposuction sucks out the fats, the body is left with a glandular mass.  To remove the glandular mass left behind, a process known as open glandular excision is required.  In some cases, however, there may be gynecomastia cases wherein the excess is made up completely of fat alone.  If this is the case, gynecomastia liposuction alone will already be sufficient.

With the new improvements in liposuction, men suffering from gynecomastia can expect to have better options in the future.  With techniques like liposculpturing, high-definition liposuction and laser liposuction, it won’t be long before liposuction specifically for gynecomastia can not only remove the excess mammary fat but also give them sculpted pectorals that’ll fully boost their confidence.

One note, though: patients who undergo gynecomastia liposuction will require an indefinite amount of time for recovery.  It all depends on the person’s case and body, so some people will heal faster than others.
