New Liposuction Technology That Leaves Virtually No Scars

By

With horror stories from celebrities like Tara Reid hitting the headlines, people have become more wary of the traditional form of surgical liposuction. Reid’s botched liposuction – as testified to by her horrendous pictures in tabloids, countless interviews and television shows – has become the banner story defining everything people fear about liposuction.

The concept of surgery itself is inherently scary. No one really visualizes the process as something completely “fun” or “entertaining”. After all, you have sharp knives and wounds and vacuum machinery all around, so it really doesn’t paint a pretty picture at all. Couple that with the negative news reports that captured the headlines and you know that surgical liposuction suffers from a negative public image.

Which is perhaps why it is crucial that people realize that scientific progress has come up with several new forms of liposuction that no longer have the same problems as surgical liposuction. The traditional procedure, though probably not as gruesome as most people picture it to be, really does have side effects and problems that can be troublesome for patients who just want a better looking body.

There are several new liposuction techniques that patients can choose from. One of these is high-definition liposuction, wherein the doctor can actually “sculpt” the body with the patient’s own fat. This gives the doctor a lot of leeway, as the procedure utilizes the techniques of liposculpturing. The fat reduced from one area can actually be moved to a different part of the body, does reshaping the body without invasive procedures.

Liposculpture technology is central to new liposuction procedures. It is less invasive, has minimum recovery time required and often has very little scarring. It also revolutionizes the way people think of liposuction. Now the doctor has the means to “remodel” the body completely.

Another new liposuction technique is Laserlipolysis, wherein the surgeon operates laser machinery to sculpt the body. The concept is similar, except that it uses lasers to reshape the body according to the client’s desires. All three procedures are new forms of liposuction that evade the usual problems of the traditional version.

Essentially, all these new liposuction procedures already deviate from the common problems of traditional liposuction and have found ways to eliminate the worries and concerns caused by it. It would be wise to remember, however, that any form of liposuction still constitutes surgery, and should be treated accordingly. It’s still best to consult a licensed physician and be sure to seek only reputable institutions even for the most minimal of cosmetic procedures.
