The Benefits Of Non-Surgical Liposuction

Risks of Surgical Liposuction

Oh, the price we pay for vanity!

Face it: looks are still important. We can all pretend to not care about physical appearances and insist that we value “brains” over “beauty”, but in reality, we human beings judge others immediately based on their looks. It’s not necessarily a deliberate thing. Appreciating and evaluating physical appearances is practically encoded into our genetic data. Even cave men and women chose their mates based on looks!

At the risk of sounding shallow, the truth is that we make snap judgments about the people we meet based on their clothes, the way they stand, the way they talk, etc. We want to think we’re above appearances, but that’s just innate in humans. That’s exactly why we read magazines with beautiful people on the cover; patronize films with attractive actors and actresses. Be honest: wouldn’t you be attracted to someone who looked like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie, even without knowing what that person’s really like at all?

How far are people willing to go in order to be "more beautiful"? Would they go as far as to get double chin liposuction and thigh liposuction? Of course they would and people do! Of course its not only women getting these procedures done. Men also indulge in cosmetic surgery and one of the most popular surgeries performed on men is gynecomastia liposuction.

The immediate response to beauty is always there.

But in the pursuit of beauty, we people some times subject ourselves to danger. One such example is surgical liposuction, wherein the fat is removed from the body via surgery. There are many varieties of surgical liposuction, but essentially, the idea is that a doctor makes incisions in the body and draws out the fat with a straw attached to a vacuum-like device.

Already this description alone should tell you how dangerous surgical liposuction can be. Infections, fluid loss, inadvertent damage to other organs – all these potential side effects led to the public’s fear of liposuction.

In reality, however, there are now other forms of liposuction that allow a person to get rid of the fat without undergoing surgery at all. Non-surgical liposuction is faster, non-invasive and less risky than the traditional version. For people who fear the idea of a hose entering their body and sucking the fat out, non-surgical liposuction offers an alternative that lets them get the body they desire without the nagging worry that something will go wrong on the operating table.

The introduction of various forms of non-surgical liposuction has revived the public’s interest in the process of liposuction. It has, essentially, opened new doors for the procedure, allowing people to pursue beauty without suffering untoward consequences that the traditional form of liposuction might cause.

Which got me thinking: what other innovations could science bring to the pursuit of beauty in the future?
